Project Alive is about saving children and raising awareness about Hunter Syndrome in the general public. Project Alive is the 2015 awareness and fundraising campaign of Saving Case & Friends, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to finding and funding a cure for Hunter Syndrome.
Medical research is costly, especially cures, so the team at Saving Case & Friends knew that they needed to share the real fears and dreams that come with parenting a child with Hunter Syndrome in order to launch their campaign to fund the most promising research in the disease.
When your child is diagnosed with a rare and terminal disease like Hunter Syndrome, it is the death of a dream. Many dreams, really.
The dream of what your child may become.
The dream of standing beside them during the ups and downs of a maturing child to teenager to adult.
The dream of watching them get married.
But when it comes down to it, all of those dreams pale in comparison to the dream of them just being ALIVE to dream them.
